Who are Betano?

Betano are a veteran brand of the gambling industry, but have made their mark in European markets before coming to the UK.

They are part of the BetVictor group, so have a large group backing them, and have people within the company that know and understand the UK market, so that won’t be a problem.

You will find a large sportsbook on offer here, in particular they really lean into football, with some excellent coverage, both in terms of leagues and competitions, and also in terms of number of markets per game.

They hold a license with the UK Gambling Commission (license number 39576), so with that alongside their European stature and BetVictor link, you should feel incredibly safe using this platform.

We ran the same test on another popular market, the 2.5 goals market, again 20 options and this time, it was six occasions where Betano had best or joint best.

As you will have probably gathered from reading the review so far, Betano have placed a large amount of focus on football within their service, so it’ll be no surprise to say this is incredibly strong, one of the best out there.

The odds, as already spoken about, are at their strongest when it comes to football and during our tests, we found multiple occasions where Betano were best or joint best on popular goals markets.

Then there’s the welcome offer, solely dedicated to football, needing a qualifying football bet and giving out football free bets as the reward.

They also have one of the most popular football promotions for existing customers with the two up payout offer, the perfect option for anyone betting regularly on football.

Horse Racing Betting

Betano have built the foundations for an excellent horse racing platform, and for a UK horse racing fan, they’ve got pretty much all the basics covered, and some nice extras on top.

Is it the best on the market? Probably not, missing an additional offer or two, not having as much international depth and not offering the same kind of in depth form on race cards as some.

But there’s also a lot to like here. Firstly, odds, you’ve got best odds guaranteed available from 9am on the morning of the race, right up until the off, the best horse racing offer on the market.

Racecards are good, and detailed enough for most, though do lack some advanced areas that some other brands offer.

Generally, their pricing is pretty strong across the board. We never found them as standout best, but you got above average almost every time.

Their boosts are really good, often focusing on favourites at the same track, or sometimes favourites for the same jockey or trainer, the kind of popular doubles that people look out for.

Racing is very strong, lacking a couple of minor points, but certainly catering well for the majority.

Sports Betting

As a brand, Betano has European roots, and I think you can see this in their sports coverage.

The tennis betting here is excellent, offering some of the best market options around, so if you like tennis and want a choice in how to bet, Betano is certainly very good for that.

Elsewhere, there’s really strong basketball betting on offer, and not just with the NBA. Their lines go deep with European leagues too, so you can place bets on those closer to home rather than the overnight NBA action.

In particular here, a good choice of points scoring lines was on offer, total points and handicaps were good, with alternative markets so you can lengthen or shorten the odds by changing the spread yourself.

Other sports are covered well, in line with what Betano does as a whole, but the feeling is that European favourites are the standout here.

Betano Payment Methods

Betano offer little away from the main payment options, and while this will cover most players, it would have been nice to see more on offer.

Debit cards are accepted, while you can also deposit by the two main online payment methods, Apple Pay and Google Pay, which a lot of people now have set up.

All three are also available for withdrawals, alongside bank transfer too.
