Who are QuinnBet?

The “Quinn” of QuinnBet refers to one of Ireland's most spectacular riches-to-rags stories. Starting a sand and gravel business in the 1970s, Seán Quinn went on to build a huge business venture known as the Quinn Group, encompassing cement, glass, insurance, property, and other interests. In 2008, with a net worth of over €3 billion, he was Ireland’s richest man. By 2012, he was bankrupt, having lost his fortune as a result of a heavily leveraged bet on Anglo Irish Bank.

Launched in 2017, QuinnBet was Seán Quinn’s first business investment following his bankruptcy. In 2019, Seán Quinn ceased to be a shareholder, with the business passing into the ownership of his daughter Brenda and eleven grandchildren. Then in 2023, operations transferred to QuinnBet (Gibraltar) Limited, which remains the licensed operator as of 2026. Now an established name in the UK and Irish betting market, QuinnBet offers a comprehensive sports betting and casino menu.

Are QuinnBet’s odds any good?

To test the QuinnBet odds, I used my standard method of looking at the UK’s two most popular betting sports – football and horse racing.

Starting with football, I compared QuinnBet odds with the competition for a full round of weekend Premier League fixtures - focusing specifically on the match result market. On this test, QuinnBet came up a little short, with an average overround of 9% across the ten games. This wasn’t far off the 8.31% I calculated for Betfred but was no match for the 5.75% at Coral. Note, all these numbers may be slightly higher then normal as I conducted my test well in advance of the games kicking off.

Moving on to the racing, I looked at a seven-race Saturday afternoon card from Newbury. Here QuinnBet performed better, with the site offering the outright best price or joint-best price on at least two runners in six of the seven races.

Overall, the QuinnBet odds appear to be mid-range in terms of value – not terrible, by any means, but standout odds are not a big selling point of this site.

Is the QuinnBet welcome offer good value?

I will get onto the value of the QuinnBet welcome offer, but this deal certainly doesn’t score top marks for simplicity.

New customers who place at least three qualifying bets on their first day can receive 50% of net losses back as a Free Bet, up to a maximum value of £25. At least one qualifying bet must have a stake of £10+ while the other two must be at least half the value of your largest stake. All qualifying bets must be placed at odds of EVS or higher (2.0).

For example, if you placed 2 x £20 qualifying bets plus 1 x £10 qualifying bet, and all three lost, you would get the maximum £25 Free Bet. But what happens if you end up in profit on your qualifying bets, I hear you ask. As long as you have placed at least one qualifying bet of £10+, you will receive a £5 Free Bet if you end up less than £5 down or make a profit.

Complicated? Yes. Good value? The jury is out. The headline value of £25 is pretty good, but you only get this if you lose £50. Compared to other deals which give you guaranteed free bets simply for staking £10, e.g. the Bet £10 to Get £30 in Free Bets at LiveScore Bet, the QuinnBet offer falls a little short.

Football Betting

QuinnBet leaves no stone unturned with its football coverage. Unless you are being deliberately obscure, you will almost certainly find what you need on the extensive menu. Clicking the “Comps” tab reveals hundreds of leagues and competitions from close to 80 nations. Whether you are punting on the Premier League, La Liga, or have a fancy for the Bhutan Premier League, QuinnBet has you covered.

The wealth of choice continues into the individual games. Taking a Premier League game as an example, you can expect to find close to 200 markets available. Standard wagers such as Match Result, Both Teams To Score, Correct Score, and Total Goals feature alongside Handicaps, Cards, Corners, and more. I particularly like the Player Stats markets, which include everything from Player Total Fouls Won to Player Left Foot Shots on Target.

Another standout feature at QuinnBet is the exceptional Bet Builder. Whereas some competitors limit your Bet Builder options to a dozen or so markets, QuinnBet lets you combine options from over 90 markets for the biggest games.

The In-Play area is easily accessed from the main menu or the header menu. During testing, the In-Play odds updated quickly, with Cash Out available on selected markets. While QuinnBet lacks football live streaming, the smart infographics and stats do a nice job of tracking the action.

QuinnBet’s excellent football product is enhanced by regular offers including 10% Boost as a Free Bet on Accas, 20% Boost as a Free Bet on Bet Builders, 2Up Early Payout, and 0-0 Money Back on Bet Builders.

Overall, despite the average odds, I was impressed with the QuinnBet football area and will definitely make this site part of my Premier League punting portfolio.

Horse Racing Betting

QuinnBet continued to impress in my favourite betting sport of horse racing. As touched upon, the racing odds are competitive – always a good start, but this site has much more to offer.

QuinnBet ticks the essential boxes of Best Odds Guaranteed and Live Streaming of all UK and Irish Racing, and offers additional perks not found at every betting site.

As a man who likes a bet on an outsider, the “2nd to the Favourite” promo offers real added value. With this deal, you get your money back as a free bet if your selection finishes second to a favourite with an SP above 6/4. Most impressively, this offer is available on every UK and Irish race with a qualifying favourite. Each-way punters will also appreciate the Daily Extra Place races, which increase your chances of earning a payout.

QuinnBet keeps things simple with its daily racing markets, which stick to the standard win and each-way betting. As a traditional punter, that fits my style, but fans of more exotic wagers may be disappointed.

The racecards are nicely presented with the usual trainer, jockey, form, and colours information, while the Overview tab presents a quick rundown of the contenders to help with your decision.

Sports Betting

The QuinnBet menu features 28 sports and events. That’s comparable to the 30 on offer at 10Bet or 27 at the Tote, but less than the 41 available at bet365. Nevertheless, unless your punting tastes veer towards the niche, you will find what you need.

The ever-popular football, horse racing, greyhounds, and tennis are grouped at the head of the main menu. The full A-Z list includes the major US sports, F1, boxing, golf, and cricket alongside smaller sports such as futsal, Esports, and badminton.

While my betting experience doesn’t extend to all 28 sports on the menu – my knowledge of beach volleyball is sadly lacking, for example – I can attest to the quality of QuinnBet’s boxing and tennis betting areas.

QuinnBet made my list of the best boxing betting sites thanks to an excellent selection of bouts and good market depth for the biggest events. Boxing is also a good fit for the Acca Bonus offer, which offers a 10% Bonus as a Free Bet on Accas with 3+ legs, each priced at 3/10 (1.30) or higher.

For tennis punters, QuinnBet serves up coverage of the ATP, WTA, Challenger, and UTR tournaments, solid odds, and an In-Play area packed with useful stats and an excellent match visualiser to follow the points.
