What is the 2 Up Offer?

Oh, the agony! You watch the team you have backed storm into a two-goal lead - seeming certain to saunter to victory, as you ponder what to spend your winnings on. And then, disaster strikes, as the opposition rediscovers their attacking prowess and launches a comeback to snatch a point or turn the match on its head entirely. It was all going so well but ended in just another betting slip sent hurtling towards the virtual betting bin. We’ve all been there.

2 Up removes this potentially troubling experience. With this deal, you will be paid out as a winner if your side is two goals up AT ANY TIME during the game, regardless of whether the side you have backed goes on to win, lose, or draw.

2-0 up after 10 minutes, only to collapse and lose 4-2, you will still be counting your winnings. 1-0 down, before bouncing back to lead 3-1, only to settle for a 3-3 draw? You will again celebrate a winning bet. Whatever the scoring pattern of the game, if your team is two goals ahead at any time, your bet is a winner.

When using this offer at William Hill, there is one KEY thing to remember. When navigating to your match of choice, you will find two lists of 90 Minutes markets – one labelled 90 Minutes and the other labelled 90 Minutes – 2 UP. You must use the 90 Minutes – 2 Up list to qualify for this deal. The odds in the standard 90-minute market are slightly better than those in the 90 Minute – 2 Up market, meaning William Hill essentially charges a fee of around 3% for using the offer.

Ladbrokes – 2Up & Win

At Ladbrokes, you must place your bet using the odds listed in the 2UP&Win Early Payout market rather than the Match Betting Market to qualify for this deal. As with William Hill, the odds in the Match Betting Market are slightly better (around 3-4% in the matches we looked at) than those in the 2UP&Win Market.

• Available on Single and Multiple Bets
• Only available on selected fixtures. There are many competitions available, but the coverage is not as extensive as that of bet365 or William Hill

Coral – 2UP

Barring the slightly different name the Coral offer is identical to that of Ladbrokes. Here, you must place your bet on the odds listed in the 2UP – Instant Win market rather than the Match Betting Market to qualify. Again, the standard Match Result odds are around 3-4% better than those in the 2UP- Instant Win market.

• Available on Single and Multiple Bets
• As at Ladbrokes, the offer is only available on selected fixtures.

10Bet – Early Payout

It's always worth checking out 10Bet for their excellent selection of promotions and offers. Unsurprisingly, they were one of the first to join in the 2 Up fun.

Acca Boosts

Whilst not so bad in a European Championship or World Cup year, the summer months can be a drag for football fans. All those weekends without watching your team in action or settling down for the big TV games. And what are we supposed to do with ourselves when unable to plot a life-changing acca on the latest domestic action?

The beloved Acca has been a staple of the football betting diet for decades now, and despite the emergence of popular new options such as the Bet Builder, it shows little sign of being displaced anytime soon. From the humble treble to the outrageous 15-fold and beyond, millions of accas are placed throughout the season. Landing an acca is always a satisfying experience - all the more satisfying if your ever-generous bookmaker adds a little extra to your winnings, purely out of the goodness of their heart…

What is the Acca Boost Offer?

Also known as the Acca Flex or Acca Bonus, among other titles, the Acca Boost does what it says on the tin, i.e. boosts the returns on winning accas which meet the criteria of the promotion.

Consider a £10 four-fold on four Even Money (2.0) selections. Usually, this would return £160. However, if you place your bet with a bookmaker offering a 15% boost on successful four-folds, you will instead receive £182.50. This is just one example of how the Boost System works. As we will see below, the potential boosts can be much greater than this.

Note that the additional sum awarded via an Acca Boost is calculated using the winnings from the bet and doesn’t include the initial stake.

How Big Are the Boosts?

The answer to this question depends on two things - the bookmaker with whom you place your bet and the number of selections included in your acca. For accas containing 13-16 legs, 10Bet should be the first port of call – particularly for 15-folds and upwards, where their offer is 25% and more ahead of the competition. 10Bet also stands out from the crowd in allowing customers to include In-Play selections in qualifying bets.

Betfred – Acca Flex

While Betfred, may only offer the joint best boost in one category (12-folds), but they are the only site in our table to include the Acca Insurance deal as part of their offer. There are few things more frustrating than having just one leg let you down (truly amazing how often it happens), but whenever this occurs on accas containing five or more selections, Betfred softens the blow by returning your stake as a Free Bet (up to a maximum of £10).

Best Sites for 17 Selections of more

Of course, the acca doesn’t end with the 16-fold. Those seeking to throw a life-changing “Hail Mary” and land a bet containing 17 or more selections should check out BetMGM and BetUK, both of which offer a 125% boost for 17 selections, 150% for 18, 170% for 19, and 200% for 20+. Note that for all accas of 16 selections or less, these firms do not offer the best boost.

BetMGM and BetUK also boast a minimum odds per selection requirement of 3/10 (1.30), which compares favourably with the industry standard of 1/2 (1.50).

It is also worth keeping an eye on the bet365 site. One of the world’s best bookmakers previously offered an Acca Boost promotion, but this ended on the 6th of August 2024. Rarely left behind, when it comes to great value offers, it would be no surprise if bet365 had a new version of the promotion in the pipeline.

Bigger Boost Does not Always Equal Bigger Returns

When deciding where to place your acca bet, it is easy to turn to the site offering the biggest percentage bonus. However, before doing this, you must first consider the odds-on offer. If a bookmaker offers inferior odds on one or more of your selections, a higher return may be available elsewhere – even when factoring in a higher boost.

Our advice would be to use a handy acca calculator, to compare the potential returns between bookmakers. From there, apply the relevant boost amount at each of the sites you are considering to zero in on the best deal.

Goalscorer Offers

The offers don’t end with the match result-based markets. There are plenty of promotions to find elsewhere, including in the Goal Scorer markets. First, Last, and Anytime goalscorer bets remain hugely popular with punters – often offering higher odds than match outcome bets and enabling a small-stakes interest in the action. And, as with any type of bet, it never hurts to have a little added value working in your favour.

A bookmaker doesn’t earn the nickname “The Bonus King” without good reason, and Betfred continue to show their rivals how it’s done in many areas. One of a diminishing number of sites still offering treble the odds for a single winner on Lucky Bets, the Fred Done-owned firm excels in the realm of First Goalscorer Betting with two eye-catching deals:

• Double Delight - Back a player to score first pre-match. If Your selection scores first and bags a brace in the game, you will be paid out at DOUBLE the odds
• Hat-trick Heaven - Back a player to score first pre-match. If your selection scores first and goes on to grab a hat-trick, you will be paid out at TREBLE the odds.

Unlike many offers, Double Delight and Hat-trick Heaven are also available In-Play. Back a player to score the Next Goal at any time in the match. If they score next and grab a second or third goal, you will be paid out at double or treble the odds.

Taking advantage of this offer can create real value over the course of a season. Using the 2023/2024 Premier League season as an example, punters backing Erling Haaland to score first in live televised games would have celebrated a double odds payout on five occasions, thanks to his braces against Burnley, Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton, and Tottenham. In our opinion, 2 UP, Acca Boost, Double Delight and Hat-trick Heaven are offers all football punters should have in their betting armoury. However, they are far from the only deals available. Those looking to add further value to their betting over the season should consider the following:

Lottoland – Bore Draw Money Back

0-0 is rarely a popular scoreline with TV viewers or punters. As an optimistic bunch, not many punters place their stake on a goalless draw before settling down to watch paint dry. As such, 0-0 is invariably a good result for the bookmakers and a bad one for punters.

Lottoland deserves credit for their Bore Draw Money Back deal. Place a correct score bet on ANY Premier League game, and if the match finishes 0-0, you will receive your money back as a Free Bet. If the selection is part of a correct score multiple, the 0-0 leg will be made void rather than settled as a loser.

bet365 – Soccer Substitute Guarantee

Injuries and tactical tweaks by the managers are an unavoidable aspect of football. Nevertheless, it is frustrating to see a player you have backed barely give you a run for your money due to leaving the action early.

One way to avoid this heartache is to have bet365's Soccer Substitute Guarantee on your side. Under this deal, if the player you have backed is substituted before half-time, you will receive your stake back as a bet credit – provided the outcome has not already been determined. If your selection is part of a multiple, that leg is made void.

This offer is available on 32 markets, including First, Last, and Anytime Goalscorer, to scorer two or three or more, Player to be Booked, Total Shots on Target, and Player Fouls Committed.

We all know it’s the most entertaining football league in the world, and we all know that every man and his dog has an opinion on it, but do we all know who offers the best odds when it comes to betting on the Premier League?

So, who does have the best Premier League match odds? Our stats boys compare the margins from 34 betting sites every week and calculate the averages. To ensure the numbers are accurate all “Full Time Result” (1X2) odds are taken 30 minutes before kick-off for every Premier League game in the 2024/25 season.

Margins are displayed below (the amount over 100% represents the bookies average margin for the “Full Time Result” market for all Premier League matches based on our studies, for example the figure 102.96% would mean that bookie’s average margin is 2.96%. To put it another way, using the above example the bookie can expect to pay-out £100 for every £102.96 he receives. The lower the margin % a bookie offers us the better value it is to the betting man on the street, as a bookie that pays out £100 for every £103 he takes in stake money, is offering better value (and by definition, better odds) than the bookie who pays out £100 for every £106 he takes in stake money.

The results are a real eye-opener. Currently the firm offering the best value odds by far is bet365, with an average margin of just 103.19%. That really does represent incredible value to punters. Another firm who fare very well here is betfred with an average margin of 103.40%. Whilst other firms that are operating to super low margins include betfair, unibet and betvictor. Meanwhile, at the other end of the table, it might be just as big a surprise to see that two of the biggest bookmakers around offer the worst value odds on the Premier League, as Skybet and Paddy Power register average margin scores of 106.27% and 107.04% respectively (so bad we don't offer these bookies on our site).
