Best Golf Betting Sites 2026
We’ve analysed literally dozens of golf betting sites, creating this page to help you find the best odds, offers and promotions available.
So why not read on for our take on the best golf betting sites around?
Where to Bet on Golf: Top Sites Reviewed
To maximise your chance of being successful when
betting on golf, you need to be taking the best odds available as often as possible – as well as taking advantage of any value-adding promotions.
To help you get started, here’s six bookmakers that tick all the right boxes:
BetMGM

I bet on golf every week. That’s at least two tours – PGA and DP World mainly, but also potentially LIV and the LPGA if I can find any value selections.
I document weekly golf odds in a spreadsheet – we all need a hobby, right? So I can speak with confidence when I say that BetMGM is one of the most consistent sites when it comes to being best priced for the key players each week.
They offer a wide spread of markets, including most of the finest options detailed later in this guide, while the main grid really is excellent: you can see each player’s win price displayed alongside prices for top five, ten, 20, 30 and 40 finishes.
I prefer it when bookmakers offer us the chance to choose how many places we want on a golf event – sadly, BetMGM doesn’t allow for this. But otherwise, this is a really solid golf betting site.
Pros
- Typically excellent odds
- Generous welcome bonus
- Deep range of golf markets
- Huge selection of promotions for other sports
Cons
- Can’t choose the number of each way places
- Lack of golf-specific promos
PricedUp Bet

I also became aware of how strong the golf odds at PricedUp were, when analysing their prices relative to other bookmakers via the usual comparison sites.
I wondered if it was because they were a new firm and wanted to infiltrate the market with low pricing for a while. But no: even now, PricedUp is routinely one of the lowest margin betting sites in the UK for golf.
Their range of markets is impressive, with top finishes, match ups, 3-balls and top nationality some of the key cornerstones covered.
This is just a personal thing, but I really like the black colour palette used on their site and app as well. But PricedUp isn’t perfect: the complete lack of promotions diminishes their ability to become a kingpin of golf betting in the UK.
Pros
- Generally low margin prices
- Decent welcome bonus
- All the key golf markets covered
- Daily price boosts (football and horse racing)
Cons
- Complete lack of promotions
- Limited number of payment methods accepted
10bet

If, like me, you place each way bets on the golf outright markets, you’ll know that getting the right combination of price and number of places is key.
One of the reasons why I keep my 10bet account funded is because they are generally better than the market when it comes to place terms. While other bookies pay five places at 1/5 odds, 10bet often pays six places at 1/5.
But the key thing here is that they remain competitive on price, and in many cases you will be able to get the same odds on a player with six places at 10bet as you would with five places elsewhere.
When betting on a sport like golf, which demands long-term patience to handle what can be lengthy runs without a winner, these details really do matter.
On top of all that, 10bet also offers a diverse selection of side markets for the main tours, too.
Pros
- Often more places paid than other bookies
- Strong market depth
- Winnings boosts on 3+ leg accas
- Can deposit/withdraw with a wide array of payment options
Cons
- Can’t choose how many places you want
- No golf-specific promos
BetTom

I’ll be honest: I don’t like the look or navigation of BetTom.
But when you look past these surface-level flaws, what we have here is a bookmaker that actually adds value for golf bettors.
How? Because you can choose your places – either five places at 1/4 odds or ten places at 1/5 odds, depending on the individual tournament.
This is key if you want to give yourself the best chance of success with your golf betting; switching between those two place options, depending upon the quality of the player and their odds, is key.
To be honest, there are a few aesthetic things I personally don’t like about BetTom. But the option to choose the number of places you take stands them as out one of the best new golf betting sites around.
Pros
- Pick your places
- Numerous tours covered
- Lots of sub-markets
- Plenty of good promotions if you bet on other sports
Cons
- Site looks outdated and basic
- No golf-centric promotions
BresBet

As any punter worth their salt will tell you, price is everything in betting.
And that’s one of the reasons I find myself heading to BresBet on a weekly basis. Their pre-tournament odds are so-so, you’ll certainly find better elsewhere, but it’s their live golf odds that really count.
I have run numerous tests over the past year, and I can tell you that BresBet are, so often, amongst the industry best price for the players at the head of the market.
They are near the top of my tally chart for both the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour, so if you are somebody that likes to bet in running, BresBet is an excellent choice for live golf markets.
Pros
- Excellent live odds
- Huge choice of match-ups and 3-balls
- Ante post markets for the majors priced up nice and early
- Live colour indicators for odds shortning/lenghtening
Cons
- Other firms have a wider selection of sub-markets
- Promotions could be stronger
Spreadex

I wanted to reserve a place in my rundown of the best golf betting sites for Spreadex.
Their traditional golf betting offering is solid enough, with all the standard markets available. However, you’ll generally only get one ‘off the shelf’ set of place terms.
To be honest, Spreadex’s real advantage for golf bettors is its spread betting. This article isn’t the time or place for a guide to spread betting, but here’s the general idea: the more you’re right, the more you win.
So, if you back an underdog that greatly over-performs their odds, you win more based upon how high up the leaderboard they go.
However, your total cost increases if they under-perform their expected finishing position.
This is a high risk, but potentially high reward, alternative to standard golf betting.
Pros
- Standard fixed odds and spread betting
- Spreads bets offer high risk/reward spectrum
- Dedicated iOS and Android apps
- Well established since the 1990s
Cons
- Standard betting offer could be better
- Layout isn’t as intuitive as other sites/apps
Popular Golf Betting Types and Markets
There are many different ways to bet on golf events hosted by the most prestigious. The best golf betting sites offer all of the markets detailed below:
- Tournament Winner - Bet on who you think will lift the trophy. Remember that places (top five/eight etc) are available with each way wagers.
- First Round Leader - Who will be top of the leaderboard after the opening round? Each way is available here, too.
- Top Finishes - You can bet on players to finish in the top five, ten or 20 places on the leaderboard; some bookies also offer top 30/40. Check your site’s rules on ties for this market.
- To Make/Miss Cut - After two rounds, roughly half the players with the worst scores are cut from the field. Note that some PGA TOUR events don’t have a cut.
- 2-Balls and 3-Balls - In the opening two rounds of a tournament, the players go round the course in groups of three; they typically play in pairs for the final two rounds. You can bet on who will shoot the lowest score in these groupings each day.
- Match Ups - Before the tournament begins, your bookmaker will offer prices on pairs of players. Which of them will shoot the lower tournament score?
Best Golf Betting Offers & Free Bets
As well as their standard welcome bonuses, which can typically be used on golf bets, some bookies have golf-specific promotions which can add genuine value to your punting.
The offers below all fit the bill:
Golf Betting Strategies
I always advise caution when following betting strategies: punters should remain versatile and open minded when making their selections.
But here’s two time-served systems to help you get started:
Live Golf Betting Strategy
You can’t win a golf tournament on the opening day, but you can sure lose it.
That’s why some golf punters don’t bet before the off; instead waiting for the action to get underway to see which players make a strong start – then betting in-play.
This strategy decreases your risk and exposure somewhat, while also allowing you to browse the stats for how each player is faring.
I personally like to use Strokes Gained data. If you’re betting on the PGA TOUR, this is available on their website and app leaderboard – just click on each individual player to see their stats.
My preference is for Strokes Gained Off-the-Tee and Approach, as these are the basic building blocks for success in golf. Putting, meanwhile, is wildly volatile – one day a player can putt well, the next they miss everything they look at.
First Round Leader Strategy
In full field events, the players are sent out in two waves: morning and afternoon. That means that the early starters could tee off at 7am, with the latest at around 3pm.
As you can imagine, the weather conditions can change dramatically in that time. Maybe it will get sunny and hot, maybe it will rain. Perhaps the wind will pick up or die down.
One of the waves of players could have a significant advantage over the other accordingly. So, before placing your First Round Leader bets, be sure to check the latest local weather forecast.
Ideally, you want your players on course when the wind is low and when the temperature is warm (but not too hot). The hotter it gets, the firmer and faster the course will play. The windier it is, the harder it is to control shots.
Rain is an interesting factor. If it buckets it down, golf courses can play softer – there’s less ball run and greens are more receptive. Sometimes in rainy conditions, backing longer hitters can be a sensible strategy.
Golf Betting FAQs
Each golf betting market has its own unique rules. But if you’re wagering on the tournament winner, for example, you need your selection to lift the trophy – if betting each way, finishing in the designated number of places also secures a return.
Let’s say you’ve backed Rory McIlroy to finish in the top ten. If he finishes tied ninth with three other players, some bookies will settle this as a dead heat – as there’s eleven players in the top ten (if that makes sense!). Your payout is recalculated at a lower rate.
Sometimes, when a tournament has a red hot favourite – such as Scottie Scheffler or Nelly Korda – you can bet on the event without them in it. In this case, tournament winner bets are settled on the highest finishing player besides the named individual.
If they withdraw before the start, you will get a refund. If they withdraw after the tournament has started, a refund is at the individual bookmaker’s discretion.
A forecast is predicting the exact 1-2 on the leaderboard, or the 1-2 in either combination of the two players. This is extremely high risk betting, but allows you to back two fancied players at higher odds than in the tournament winner market.
Yes! Spread betting sites like Spreadex allow you to ‘sell’ player points, in which you’re backing them to perform worse than the finishing position predicted by the site.
As always, no bet type is a guaranteed winner. But consider the markets a higher implied probability: for example, in a match-up, you only need your pick to beat one other player.
There really is no secret sauce to picking winners in golf betting. But a combination of current form and course form is a useful starting point.
