World Cup Quarter Finals Acca Bet
24 teams have come and gone at the FIFA World Cup. Eight remain, and by around 9pm on Saturday that number will stand at just four, but which four? Here we take a look at what looks set to be a cracking set of Quarter Finals and pick out our best betting options.
Croatia vs Brazil – Friday 9th December 3pm
The favourites are up first as they take on the 2018 beaten finalists Croatia. Brazil start as hot favourites, but have exited the competition at this stage in three of the last four competitions, and likely won’t have it easy against this vastly experienced Croatia side. That said, their overall level of performance has been superior to that of Croatia at this year’s tournament. Despite all of their flare, it is at the back where Brazil may hold the decisive edge, having limited the opposition to only minimal chances throughout the tournament. Croatia in contrast conceded a number of opportunities against Japan. Japan missed them, Brazil probably won’t.

Netherlands vs Argentina – Friday 9th December 7pm
Can Messi keep his side’s run going? All of Argentina, and most neutral fans, will be hoping he can. Standing in his way are a Netherlands outfit under the guidance of master tactician Louis van Gaal. Argentina start as favourites, and just about deserve to on the displays of the two sides so far, although the masterful way in which the Netherlands were set up against the USA does make us a little wary of the van Gaal factor. This has the makings of a tenacious battle settled by a moment of magic, and for that, Messi is the man. We favour Argentina, but only just.

Morocco vs Portugal – Saturday 10th December 3pm
This year’s least likely quarter-finalists Morocco continue their run as they bid to become the first African Nation in history to reach the Semi Finals – and they are not without a chance. However, a similar defensive effort to the one they put in against Spain may be required, as Portugal were simply scintillating in destroying Switzerland in the Last 16 as their most creative players were given licence to express themselves. With the Portuguese possessing far more cutting-edge in and around the box than Spain and a greater propensity to attack at speed, this may ultimately prove a bridge too far for the Atlas Lions.

England vs France – Saturday 10th December 7pm
And last but not least, we have this titanic tussle as the nation settles in for a nerve-jangling Saturday evening in front of the TV. Can England stop Mbappé and co? Are there any chinks in the French armour? We suspect the answer to those questions is most likely to be no to the first, and yes to the second, setting us up nicely for a potentially entertaining encounter. We can’t pick a winner between two sides who look incredibly evenly matched, both on the team sheet, and in regard to the stats generated in the tournament so far. With so much attacking talent on display, siding with goals may be the way to go here.
