Belarusian Premier League Preview
Football is almost non-existent at the moment due to the Coronavirus pandemic. However, one league has managed to keep going, pretty much the only league in the world. This is the Belarusian Premier League, just a handful of games into the new season but able to keep going.
No fans are allowed to enter the stadiums while game are being played, although cheerleaders are allowed. Something else clubs are doing is following the lead of current champions Dynamo Brest. They have installed cardboard cut outs of fans onto the seats in the stadium, so players feel like people are there watching them.
The show goes on for now in Belarus, and here is a look at three selections for this weekend.
FK Ruh Brest vs FC Minsk
If there is one game this weekend screaming a lack of goals then it is this one. FC Minsk have been kept off the score sheet in their last two games, while FK Ruh Brest have seen a total of just three goals from their first four league games.
Both are struggling in front of goal, and confidence is already low. Minsk are two games without a goal, Ruh Brest are three. This is a game where we have to follow what the stats are telling us, so it is under 2.5 goals for us in this one, we expect very few scoring chances from these two.

Isloch vs Slavia Mozyr
While the game above looks to be one where goals will be at a premium, we think this one will be full of them. Isloch have scored in all four of their games so far, while conceding six in their last two. Slavia Mozyr were involved in a 0-0 game last week, but prior to that, ten goals were scored in their first three games.
Again, we will go with what the stats are telling us here and back both teams to score in a game that looks as though it should be an end to end affair.

BATE Borisov vs Torpedo Zhodino
BATE Borisov lost their opening two games but have since come back strong, recording 1-0 and 3-0 victories. They appear to be hitting form, and if that is the case then there is little doubt that they are one of the best teams in Belarus.
Torpedo Zhodino are the surprising league leaders at the moment with three wins from four games, although two of those wins were narrow 1-0 successes. We don’t think they are able to keep that up this weekend, and fancy BATE Borisov to show their strength in this one. We are backing the home side to win comfortably, so using the -1 handicap line to gain a bit of value.
