Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund - Betting Preview
The Champions League is back this week and of the eight ties we have taking place in this round, three of them put English clubs against German clubs. The first of those comes at Wembley on Wednesday evening, when Spurs host Borussia Dortmund.
The big news for Tottenham here is that they go into this huge game without two of their best attacking talents. Both Harry Kane and Dele Alli have been ruled out of the game, and that adds more pressure on the shoulders of midfield maestro Christian Eriksen, who is usually at the centre of everything they do going forward.
Although Tottenham can take heart from the fact that they won both games against Dortmund in the group stages last season, this is a completely different team this time around, playing with real purpose. Not only do they have the chance to perform well in this competition, but they are currently at the top of the Bundesliga, looking to end the dominance Bayern Munich have had in Germany recently.
Tottenham are going to have to attack in this game as they cannot really afford to go to Germany without a lead, and that could give us a very open game. Dortmund are blessed with great speed, and if anything, Tottenham attacking will really play into their hands as they can soak up the pressure, and counter attack with genuine pace when they win the ball.

This game genuinely could go either way on Wednesday night, there is little to choose between the two teams. Tottenham will pile the pressure on, but Dortmund are more than capable of pinching a goal on the break, and eventually I think the game will end level, giving Dortmund the upper hand going back home.
