Premier League Preview 30th & 31st January
Another big weekend of Premier League action awaits us, and it comes right in the middle of two midweek fixture lists, so teams will be playing three games in just over a week.
With battles at the top and bottom of the table, many of the games are going to have big implications on the standings. We have picked out three of the best to place a treble on, here are the three games and what we fancy below.
Arsenal v Manchester United
Arsenal have seemingly turned things around, they are unbeaten in their last five league games, with four wins and a draw. Manchester United had battled their way to the top of the Premier League, aided slightly by others struggling, but then quickly lost the lead after a loss at Sheffield United.
The Gunners have shown enough to be fancied here, it is surprising they are outsiders to win the game, despite home advantage. They have conceded just one goal in their last five games, and for that reason, don’t be surprised to see them not only beat Manchester United but also to keep a clean sheet.
This is a big game for United, they dropped points during midweek against the bottom club, and can’t afford another game with nothing, but ultimately that is how we see them ending up.

Leicester v Leeds United
Leicester have maintained their position in the Premier League title race, while others around them have slightly struggled. They host Leeds on Sunday, a great opportunity to pick up another three points and ensure they don’t fall off the pace.
Leeds have lost two of their last three, and their win came against Newcastle, probably the worst team in the league at the moment. Leicester provides them with a very different opportunity. What we should get here is a high tempo game, plenty of scoring chances and a few goals.
We expect Leicester to win, but on top of that, we are also expecting goals.
Leicester to win and over 2.5 goals in the game is our pick.
West Ham v Liverpool
Our final game is a very tough away day for the Champions Liverpool. West Ham have won their last four, Liverpool have not won in their last five, ask anyone about those two records anytime before Christmas and they would have put the house on them being the opposite way around.
It is impossible to back Liverpool given their form at the moment, and even more so given that they are odds on for this game. Rather than trying to come up with something else, the best plan of attack for the last leg is to keep this simple.
West Ham have been excellent recently, Liverpool are on the ropes, so it’s a West Ham win as the final selection.
