Premier League: Match Day 10 Treble
As we reach the quarter-way mark of the season, the top of the Premier League table is taking on a familiar look. Manchester City once again sit top, closely pursued by their most frequent rivals from the past decade, Liverpool. At the other end of the table, new boys Leicester City are managing to keep their heads above water for now, but Ipswich Town and Southampton are in the mire.
Of course, things can change quickly, and Match Day 10 throws up an intriguing list of fixtures. Here, we pick out our three best bets for the Super Sunday double bill and Monday Night clash at Craven Cottage.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa: Sunday 2:00 pm
Villa currently occupies the crucial fourth place, sitting five points ahead of Spurs in eighth, but a win for the hosts will close that gap considerably. Spurs arrive on a high, having dumped Manchester City out of the Carabao Cup in midweek. Villa lost at home to Crystal Palace in that competition but made a raft of changes and will return to a full-strength side here.
We rate Villa as the better side overall, but home advantage may even things up, making this tough to call in the Match Result market. We would just favour Villa, particularly in the absence of Micky van de Ven, which leads us to our bet in the game. Cristian Romero has surprisingly avoided a card this season. However, the combination of the loss of his regular partner and the incisive runs of Ollie Watkins, Morgan Rogers, and Jacob Ramsey may prove too much for the hot-headed Uruguayan here.

Manchester United vs Chelsea: Sunday 4:30 pm
Seemingly hanging by a thread for well over a year, the rope finally snapped for Eric ten Hag following that last-gasp defeat to West Ham last weekend. The new manager effect reared its head for the Red Devils in a 5-2 thrashing of Leicester City in a midweek Carabao Cup clash, but they face a far tougher test here. Chelsea lost at Newcastle in the same competition, but with Enzo Maresca making 11 changes, the first team effectively had the week off.
With former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy taking temporary charge, it was no surprise to see United adopt a more forward-thinking approach. However, whilst working at the top end of the pitch, that did lead to Leicester breaching their rearguard twice. Against a Chelsea side, which can be devastating on the counter, that could lead to trouble. United have already shipped three against Liverpool and Spurs at home this season, and Chelsea are well equipped to match that tally.

Fulham vs Brentford: Monday 8:00 pm
Fulham vs Brentford may not set the pulse racing in the same manner as other Match Day 10 games, but we should be in for an entertaining affair as two attack-minded managers lock horns.
Both teams have scored in all four of Fulham’s home games this season, whilst Brentford lost 2-0 at Liverpool, but have scored on the road against Manchester City, Spurs, and Manchester United. Both Teams to Score looks rock solid at around the 8/13 mark, but we will be slightly more ambitious and turn to the Anytime Scorer market.
Averaging a goal every 81.4 minutes, Yoane Wissa has returned from injury in electric form, causing havoc with his intelligent runs and threat in the box. Likely to find plenty of space on the break in this game, he can boost those impressive stats.
