January Transfer Window Bets
The January transfer window is always an exciting time for football fans, and it can be a very nervy time for players. Many are on the move, and these include some big names who are either looking to get their careers back on track or for teams looking to bring them in and make a difference.
Over the past few years, betting on what happens in the January transfer window has really developed into something big, and with plenty of big names floating around this year, it seems this could be the biggest year yet for transfer betting.
Here is a look at four big names who seem destined for a move and what the betting tells us about them.
Dele Alli
Seemingly a bit of an outcast at Tottenham this year, Alli wants to play football and that would mean a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Prior to Mourinho managing the team, Mauricio Pochettino was in charge and had a great relationship with the midfielder.
Fast forward to now and Pochettino has just been announced as the new manager at PSG, instantly fuelling rumours about these two reuniting.
888Sport have it priced up at 1/2 that Alli remains at Tottenham this window, but it is now just 5/4 that he heads over to PSG with the same bookmaker.
Diego Costa
Former Chelsea forward Diego Costa is a free agent and will be no doubt chased by many clubs over the coming weeks. One team strongly linked with Costa is Wolves, and a top half Premier League team is the kind of place you would expect to see him land if he moves to this country.
Betfair have Wolves priced up at 6/5 as being the team to land him, and are offering Everton at 7/1, another team who could be in the frame.
He is also rumoured to be heading out of Europe, and is 7/2 with betfair to join any Brazilian club and 6/1 with the same bookmaker to join any Chinese team.
Christian Eriksen
The former Spurs man is rumoured to be on his way out of Inter Milan this window and there are plenty of teams interested in his services. Unibet have priced up the market for Eriksen and it is fascinating to look at.
He is 2/1 to remain at Inter, and 3/1 to join old boss Mauricio Pochettino at PSG, where he could also find Dele Alli who we mentioned earlier. But the favourite? That is Ajax, priced up at 5/4 to land Eriksen which will come as a surprise to some out there.
Don’t discount Wolves either as they look to improve, the rumours are they are considering a deal and are priced up at 6/1 to land him.
Jesse Lingard
After falling out of favour at Manchester United, Jesse Lingard is one player who is desperate for a fresh start as soon as possible.
A move to a smaller Premier League club where he can play on a regular basis seems to the most likely option and bottom club Sheffield United are favourites to land Lingard at 2/1 with Unibet.
Elsewhere, look out for West Ham, who are 15/2 and Crystal Palace who are 10/1 with betfair, these are exactly the kind of destinations you can expect to see Lingard landing this month.
