Euro 2020 Quarter Finals Betting Preview
Just eight teams remain at Euro 2020, and that will go down to four this weekend. We have four quarter final games taking place, two on Friday followed by two on Saturday. Here we take a look at them all for our Euro 2020 quarter finals acca.
Switzerland v Spain
Spain have come to life recently, after looking like a team that would struggle to score they have bagged 10 goals in their last two games. The Swiss are tough, and will push them all the way as France will testify, though they do lack the quality that Spain have.
Picking a winner here is not easy, so we are going to go with both teams to score in the game, available at 17/20.
Belgium v Italy
Italy have arguably been the form team of the tournament but this is certainly their biggest test to date. However, they do face Belgium minus both Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard, which takes the sting out of the Belgians going forward.
That should lead to a much tighter game than we would normally expect to see between these two teams. With injuries taken into consideration, Italy are fancied here although we expect the game to be tight and low scoring.
An Italy win to nil is our pick at 5/2.
Czech Republic v Denmark
Czech Republic shocked the Netherlands in the last round, though only really took a grip of that game when their opponents were reduced to 10 men. Denmark appear to be coming strong at just the right time, they started slowly, but are riding a wave at the moment, and clearly have great team spirit within their camp.
The Czechs are unlikely to sit back, they don’t really know how to, and in the last round, Denmark certainly found their scoring boots. In terms of goals scored, this could be the most exciting game of the round.
We are backing over 2.5 goals here at 27/20.
Ukraine v England
England saved their best performance so far for their most important game, beating Germany 2-0 at Wembley. We have seen the same plan from them every game, starting defensively tight and gradually becoming more expansive in the second half.
Given that this is their first and potentially only game away from Wembley, without a home crowd behind them, we expect England to start cautious here, even if they do have enough quality to get the better of Ukraine. As for their opponents, they went 120 minutes with Sweden on Tuesday, scraping a win in the end in what was a pretty uninspiring game overall.
We are going with a Draw/England on the HT/FT market at 14/5.
