Best Big Priced Punts for Cheltenham 2020
Many people will already have their Cheltenham bankers worked out, and those they are going to back in the big, feature events but what about the other races? There are always some big priced winners at the Cheltenham Festival, and there is nothing more satisfying than finding them.
Here we take a look at three horses that could run well at a huge price across the four days of the Cheltenham Festival.
Thursday Pertemps Final – Kilbricken Storm
Not too long ago, the Colin Tizzard runner had the world at his feet after winning at the festival. Fast forward to now and things haven’t gone to plan. He’s rapidly fell down the handicap and surprisingly was lowered even further for what looked to be a very nice run at Haydock to qualify for this race.
Expect to see this horse travelling well into the race and let’s hope he has enough left in the tank for a battle up the hill.

Thursday Brown Advisory Plate – Mister Whitaker
Of all the runners at the festival this week, few have a Cheltenham record as good as Mister Whitaker. He’s ran seven times at the course and won three of them. Twice he has run over an inadequate trip and being pulled up, take those out and he is three from five.
He is set to run in the Brown Advisory Plate on Thursday and although he needs to bounce back from being pulled up last time out, he ticks a lot of boxes. This horse can win again, Cheltenham would be a nice place for him to do it and he should prove to be very competitive in this 2m4f contest, his optimum trip.

Friday County Hurdle – Aramon
There has been a bit of a gamble on this horse already, so some of the fancy prices have gone, although double figure odds are still available out there. Willie Mullins has a fantastic trait of taking his horses who are just short of top class and putting them in big handicaps under high weights and getting them to go close, this is exactly what we think will happen with Aramon.
He’s ran up against some top quality horses over the past two years, but he’s just not quite good enough to get involved. A fast run two mile race with a big field is in store here, and this could be another Mullins masterstroke on the final day of the meeting.
