Amir Khan v Kell Brook Betting Preview
A fight that people have been wanting to happen for a decade, and one that should have happened in the past, much to the disappointment of fight fans, not only in the UK but around the world.
Both fighters are now 35 year old, so clearly coming here for one final big pay day, but that shouldn’t take away anything from the battle, although maybe not as quick as they once were, both will be desperate to win this one, due to the strong rivalry the pair have had for years.
The fight will take place in Manchester, slightly closer to Khan’s hometown of Bolton, but both fighters and their fans are no more than an hour away from the arena, so expect a mixed and very loyal boxing crowd in attendance.

There are two big factors that will determine this fight.

The first is the ability, or lack of ability, for both fighters to take a punch. While neither are huge punchers themselves, both fighters are known for going down, and struggling to take big hits. If one connects, there is every chance that we are going to get a knockout here, even though both men are not really known for their punching power.
Secondly, if Kell Brook wants to win this contest then he is going to have to keep his cool. He’s the one to have been pushing for this fight over the years, he is the one that feels like he has something to prove.
In the past, even just with talking, we have seen Kell Brook get wound up, Khan knows this, and will try to use it to his advantage when the pair get in the ring on Saturday night. Brook has to ignore this and fight in the style he can, if he starts to hear what Khan is saying to him, and chase him around the ring, that will be his undoing and Khan will win the bout.

The answer to the two big points above that will determine this contest will work out where you are going to bet. We think both are going to go for it, and there will be enough attacking and punches thrown for there to be a knockout in the bout at some point.
Secondly, we also think that Kell Brook can maintain his cool, and can box cleverly here, which is going to make life much tougher for Khan. What he wants is for Brook to chase him around the ring, eventually leaving himself open.
We don’t think that will happen, Brook can be sensible, seeing the bigger picture and ultimately, thanks to that, he can get the win in what should be a very good showdown on Saturday night between two boxers who don’t like each other.
